Learn some manners..watch barney & friends
civilisation: evryone is busy, materialistic, rudy rude!!! ..
So, what am i grubling about again?
Well, this is what i went through last Wednesday. I went to the government clinic just a stone's throw away from my place. I was having this bad flu and fever which comes on and off ocassionally. Wanted to get myself seriously checked up fearing the recent H1N1 outbreak.
As usual, walked to the counter anxiously getting my number.. it was heLL crowded..wondered if i had to wait the whole day to get treated!! And there was the HA (hospital assistant). She asked me if i've been to that particular clinic before and i said yes but very long time. I was taken a back when she suddenly raised her voice at me and said how long exactly?!!..i frowned lightly surprised at her reaction, answered in a rather polite manner, " it's about a year. I'm not sure! Sorry!"..Then she just told me to pay a dollar and since I had no change but RM10 with me, i handed her that money and waited for my change. She didn't give me back my change for quite some time. It was someone else's turn already and i thought may be she forgot.
Silently, I asked her, " Excuse me, maam. I paid RM10. My change please..".. This time she went over board!!..At that point i truly felt that I'm another plain human and my patience had its limits. I kept my cool..and took her answers.. calm.
" Why can't u wait? Can't you see I'm busy over here? I'm not gonna run away with your money!!!" and she threw my balance on the table just like that!!
It's either she didn't like me or she has no respect for money?!!!
I collected my cash and walked off without saying a word!!
What a day i thought?!!..
Then, it was my turn to see the doctor. Finally!! After a real long wait!! Now, the doctor..I wonder if he seriously was a doctor cz' his name didn't have a 'Dr.' and he was wearing a pale yellow uniform and wore a tag saying 'Pegawai kesihatan'..Maybe he was another HA i thought!!..True enough he certainly was!!..Just like any other docs he asked me what my problem was..bla..bla..bla..Same old thing..check on breathing..told me to say AAAAhhhHHHH..shined a torch into my mouth and said 'OK' plainly!...Prescribed some medicines that i should take and called up to the next patient.."huh U..what's wrong with u??"..and that was in a rather harsh manner..
my confusions in this case:
- can a HA treat patients..this happens in a government hospital especially when it is crowded..but still..do they know what exactly they are doing????
- even if they have to treat patients regardless the lack in number of doctors..can they prescribe??
- they are not even doctors..i believe that they won't even know what they are doing at times..how dare he mistreat the patients by just 'hey U'ing on them??!!! Well, even if he were to be a real doctor..a good qualified one..didn't his mum teach him any manners. I always believe in treating people the way you want to be treated!..Just because ur sitting on a great seat where people believe one who could save a life, that doesn't mean u can just mis- treat people like that!!..What happen to the Hippocratic Oath that newly graduated doctors take..is it merely another sake of formalities??

ONE MALAYSIA!!!..but?
the country i was born, bred and live in...
A multi racial country with its people practising their own religion and culture...
Malays, Chinese, Indians, Eurasians and other indeginous people like Iban and Kadazan..
multireligious practices in Malaysia is indeed a unique feature...
this indeed reflects the acceptance of all religious practices and freedom to practice them..
this truth is well enshrined in the national constitution...
in this era of wide spread terrorism, Malaysia has adopted strict measures to curb subversive activities and terrorism in the interest of peace and harmony...
and so it is possible for us to travel the length and breadth of Malaysia, without fear of bombs exploding without warning.....
M'sia is a country with plenty of resources...
there are about 3 million foreigners in this country to make a living...
a stable government with peaceful and hardworking people...
n0t forgetting the Malaysian delight...
f00d......
truly a heaven for all food loversss...
an array of cuisine....
roti canai, nasi lemak, chee cheong fun, nasi kandar,......m0re & more.......
BUT...
the darkness has l00med....
this country is not as it was before.....
she has failed to keep her promise...............
not to blame 'her' but her cells that make her up for what she is.......
is it temporary or......WORST......????!!!!!!
I was born in Malaysia no doubt. Although I'm a pure Sri Lankan by bl00d, i'd always love the place i was born in. It was a different situation all together 10 years back. I was old enough..or matured enough to know what's goin on, the people i meet and to remember their perspectives and their sense of patriotisme since then!...
Back in primary, I remember all of us used to take part in national day competitions held in school. For instance, class deco, poster drawing, poem recital, creative essays and much, much more!..At that period of life, everyone was enthusiastic about what they did to show their respective love and loyalty to the country.
However, now, it seems like most of us are lacking in patriotisme. I wonder... what's the price???If at all our thoughts towards the country keep deteorating like that, there is gonna be another dead country on the world map and who knows it would extinct just like that!!..
Think about it dear Malaysians..!!!!
We are truly Malaysians no matter where we end up around the globE..
But we have the same undestroyable style...the MALAYSIAN style...
the way we speak...the way we eat...out thoughts...
our life is merely a huge circle....make a tour and u come back to the same point....'
so dear MALAYSIANsss...st0p pretending...
cz' whatever we do we are still MALAYSIANss..

LOVED moments in KMM
Tribute Respect to Gandhiji
Mahatma Gandhi is one of the five humans on the planet who has impacted my life profoundly. He was a messenger of peace; his language nourished reconciliation, and his actions encouraged co-existence. Whether it is the conflict between Hindus or Muslims or with the British, his words mitigated conflicts and directed one's thoughts and actions towards solutions.
He was one of the most powerful leaders we have had in the last two centuries. He did not want anything for himself, nor did he want to control anything or lead any one. All he wanted to do was create a society of mutual respect and co-existence. Every one always wonders how did he get to make people listen to his message of non-violence? The answer is simple; People knew, he gained nothing from what he does, but instead they gained from his effort. Indeed, those who are un-selfish have invincible moral strength. Nothing frightens them or cows them down. You will find the same commitment and moral strength in Moses, Jesus, Krishna, Rama, Buddha, Zoroaster, Mahavira, Confucius, Nanak, Baha'u'llah, Mother Teresa and so many other great souls. Muhammad is my other mentor who had all the power on the earth during his life time but lived a simple life, and told his own daughter that she ain't going to get a free pass to God, she has to earn it by doing good deeds, i.e., doing things for other's good. Every one of the above teacher's strength lie in one simple thing: Their sense of justice was strong as a mountain and they were absolutely un-selfish.

Mahatma Gandhi's non-Violence movement is a model that will last for centuries to come. Every great teacher listed above has taught the same message over and over again. The idea is that there is a balance of energy in every human, doing bad things deflates that energy and doing good things recoups it. Fighting out may bear the result for short run, but in the long run, the fighting and the avenging continues. Whereas the non-violence method of achieving the objective is sustainable, justice ultimately brings lasting peace, and non-violence sustains it, violence disturbs the balance.
"The art of leadership consists in getting people to do what you want done because they want to do it"
It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.
Mahatma Gandhi, Indian political and spiritual leader (1869 - 1948)
