It was last sunday mornin, a RAINY one, where my friends and i (in kmm) decided to do some 'outing' as what we mention here ..and no second thoughts at all. Off we went!..We were actually supposed to go to a famous temple in melaka, specificly located in bukit beruang about 15-20minutes from the heart of melaka. We'd alwayz wanted to go to temple since we came here and you can hardly find any in masjid tanah. The week was a quiz week..really thought of coming back early, rite after lunch!..so we went...left at about 7.30am..
yeah kinda delayed by the heavy rain..took a cab 2 masjid tanah and then a bus to the central..since we were new to the place we had no idea where we were goin and what we were doin at that time..all we wanted to do is to go to a temple..
the temple that we ended up in is situated in gajah berang where we found out that it is on the way to the central and we should have got off the bus at that particular place/..like i mentioned we were new to the place...n0t anymore.!..at least i think we r!..hehehe...the temple was simply huge and gorgeous!..felt awfully satisfied as we all felt a missin piece in our life here..regardless that there are not much chances of practising our religious activities here...its just the situation and lack of facilities like temples around the place we live at!..me, losh, mullai, guna(j0e) and yeah r0se!..v didnt want 2 turn rose down after coming all the way so we walked to the nearest tamil methodist church and after all it was a sunday mornin and it wud be the best time 4 her to go to church!...owhh...should have seen that expression on her face!!...she was sooooooo delighted!..and yeah we know how it feels when you need that kinda spiritual support especially when ur away from home and ur loving family..
just as we were waitin outside the church..it came to my notice that we were just at the mouth of jonker's street!!!!!...heaven...!!!!!...losh was telling me about that place as she went there before with her family..and yeah i did hear some awesome stuffs about that place..always wanted to go there!!!......

actually didnt want 2 miss the opportunity as u know we need sum time to relax after all our heavy study weeks!!!..(yeah ryte: sounds more like an xcuse aight)
however v didnt regret...had loads of fun...
the very first thing we looked for is F00D!!!!...u know...melaka's quite famous for its cendol...n we were in heaven alright!!!..i dont quite remember the name of the restaurant but it was rather built in a classic baba nyonya style..food is self service...it was lunch time so v decided 2 have something sufficient enough to replace all that energy we used up during the long haul walks!!!...hehehexx...it wasnt tired newayz!...FUN!!!..and yeah back to our lunch...i had noodles with some special sauce and fish fillets in it....owwhh gosh...y mention??!!>....afta so long some good.. tasty.. mouth watering dish!!!...it was simply delicious..my friends had something similar to that and one had asam laksa...reminds me of the typical tomyam soup that i usually dwell for...hehehe...it was good...spicy and nice!..the soup especially...makes ur throat burn as it sips in...owhh its like ecstasy...lurve that touch....n finally time for desserts!!!...there were 5 of us and we were all quite full after a satisfyin meal..so we decided to 'start off' with 2 bowls of cendol 1st...DEFINITION OF CENDOL: SUPERB...NEVER TASTED BEFORE...WORTH IT AS THE COCONUT SYRUP IS THICK AND SWEET..BROWN SUGAR SYRUP IT ALSO QUITE THICK...RICH IN OTHER INGREDIENTS DEPENDING ON THE TYPE OF CENDOL THAT U GO FOR..FLAVOURS: COCONUT..BABA NYONYA..MANGO..LONGAN..ETC...AND YEAH NOT FORGETTING THAT THE FRUITS INCLUDED ARE OF BIG CHUNKS..BUDGET: RM2.50-RM5..its that kewl!....we ended up eating 5 bowls!...cendol craze was in d' air!!!
half heartedly we left the shop...(duh!...v spent almost 2 hrs in that small area plungin into our food like hooligans,...haha,,,..also to mention, the crowd that poured in always kept the place busy and a lil stuffy...but seems like no one minds such a situation when the food is FANTABULOUS!!!!..
since we were in jonker;'s street..no point leavin without gettin the feel of the place 1st...so..besides the f00d available there...its the place itself..crowded...busy...new faces...many colours....hawker stalls...cheap stuffs...n yeah not missin the collection of boutiques...varities of a wide range and of a reasonable price...for a moment i felt like i was in little india in penang( the best place i usually shop for my deepavali outfits and for
any other special occasions)..situation in both these spots were more likely the same..
we walked and we walked n we walked tirelessly..untill v reached stadhuy's buliding..y not walk to mp..just a lil further passing by kota a famosa and crossing dataran pahlawan...YES v did!!!...all the way to mp to get some oreo McFlurry frm McD..hehehe...naughty gals as my mum mentioned wen i told her bout my fun adventure hahah...then left central at about 4.30 and finally reached kmm..excited...and lil exhausted!!..but we were more relaxed...felt gr8 as it ws a wonderful outing...in addition to spending quality time with my best friends!!!./...at least a memory v made..something to look at when i turn back to my past (in the future).
it was indeed a memorable day for me and as well as my friends!...
moral of the story: make full use of the chance u get in any circumstances!!...
Eg:...that;s what we did...supposed to go to temple and turn back to college by n00n..bt jonker's street tempted us in..hehehexx....and y not...???!...once in a while is no harm!!!...in fact its better for us as we gt to relax our mind...hehe.v didnt want to waste a trip s v;ve came all the way!
likewise...v all should make full use of a chance we get provided its beneficial to us.. :D
